Cholera outbreak

Having already claimed lives in neighbouring Zimbabwe recently, South African is leaving nothing to chance by  ensuring that it creates awareness to try to stop the spread of cholera disease into South Africa.

What is Cholera?

Cholera is known as infectious disease that causes severe watery diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration and even death if untreated. It is caused by eating food or drinking water contaminated with a bacterium called Vibrio cholerae.

              Some of the symptoms of Cholera disease are:

                     - nausea

                     - severe diarrhoea

                     - vomiting

                     - watery diarrhoea
