South Africans are invited to participate in the 2019 South Africa National Vaccination Coverage Survey.
The aim of the survey is to collect information that will be used to improve the vaccination programme and keep communities healthy and safe from diseases. Vaccination prevents diseases such as polio, measles, diphtheria, whooping cough etc.
The survey will be conducted in randomly selected households across all 52 districts of South Africa. Trained fieldworkers with survey identification will visit each of the selected households
The importance of vaccination coverage
-These surveys are vital to improve the monitoring and evaluating immunisation programmes;
-They provide high quality coverage data which are imperative for effective decision-making
The 2019 South Africa National Vaccination Coverage Survey will be launched in Duduza, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng province.
