Deputy Minister of Health Dr Joe Phaahla and Limpopo provincial Health MEC Dr Popi Ramathuba will lead the community of Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality today during the Checka Impilo/Rotary health screening Campaign.
The aim of the Rotary Family Health Days campaign is to bring integrated health services to poorly serviced communities areas.
Some of the package of health services which will be provided during the campaign include HIV and TB screening and testing, diabetes, hepatitis, Cancer, Hypertension as well as the provision of contraceptives .
Rotary Family Health Days campaign is a public/private partnership to bring critical health services to the “people who would otherwise fall between the cracks to health care services”, is conducted annually at 120 sites across South Africa.
The Checka Impilo campaign which was officially launched on World AIDS day 2018 aims to scale up the testing and treating campaign./
Provinces, Municipalities and Points of Entry are encouraged to partake in build up activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, during the month of September to raise awareness on the theme and environmental health.
